My diary,
Scattered amongst the many books it fills.
Store bought and handmade,
With smooth, shiny covers
Of orange, navy, and crimson.
Ever faithful,
She never judges.
But listens
To my thoughts,
My hopes,
My fears.
I call her Lainie,
After me.
Because over the years,
She's become more than a diary,
A best friend,
A listener.
More than a mere recorder of my life,
Of my joys,
My anguish.
Lainie is more thna my solace.
In her I remove my fasod.
And can just be myself.
So more thna ever now,
Lainie's a part of me.
