Title: Music Lesson

We two girls step into the room,
Come into the room for our lesson.
You sit between us and help us play,
Our scales.
One girl
Is phony,
And fake.
A no-good waste of musical talent.
The other
A star,
A gem,
A precious addition to the band.
One girls practices hours a night.
The other never picks up her clarinet.
One girl plays well,
And you smile at her
As she plays her scales up and down.
One girl is determined,
But she struggles.
And you frown at her
As you slow down the tempo a lot.
You think you know,
Which one is best.
But is she really
The one who gives the most?
