Kay sat down, boredly and sighed, patting her Umbreon on the head. She suddenly got up to glance about the room.
'C'mon, Shadow.' Were her only words. She walked out the door.
'I guess we can look for any other trainers to battle...' Kay suggested. Shadow nodded in agreement.
'But no one hangs around Goldenrod,' she added. 'Only shoppers.' Shadow's ears went limp.
'Bre...' It shook it's head. Kay smiled.
'We can go to route 38! There are a bunch of trainers there!' She smiled even broader. Shadow barked happily. Kay got onto Shadow's back (she's short for her age) and it raced north until they ran into something hard...
