Title: A Day in the Life of a Football
Once upon a time, there was a football that rolled fresh off of the assembly line. He was a very nice brown, oblong, leather football. And he was just the right size and shape for a quarterback to hold in his hand to throw to a receiver for a touchdown; and Just the right length for a kicker to kick over the goal posts for a three point field goal.
Now, this football knew that he was special. He did not just want to sit on a shelf. No, he wanted to be thrown hard, and caught and kicked by the very best football players in the entire U.S.A.
So this football wished his very best football wish.
'Oh, how I wish I could play with the Green Bay Packers or the Wisconsin State Badgers,' the little football whispered to himself.
'Maybe I could even be held and thrown by the great Brett Favre!' He sighed. 'But that is such a big dream.'
But, what do you think happened? A big truck pulled up to the shipping door at the warehouse where the little football sat waiting. And a big man walked in with a list in his hand.
'I need a new football for the next Green Bay Packer's game,' he said. And he held up his official packer order slip to show the ware house man.
'It can't be just any football, it must be the very best one you have for the Green Bay Packers.'
Then, the little football felt himself picked up, wrapped up, and handed to the big man.
When he was unwrapped just before the big Green Bay game, who do you suppose was tossing the football around and practicing with it? Brett Favre himself, that's who!
