Title: Best of friends... Chapter 5.
Authors note: Save me from my own insanity, someone! Remind me NOT to write another story in first person!!! So confused! Written in view of Allie, I must remember that!
'Allie, Allie!' My friends voices filled my ears as I lay on the sand of the high ground of the beach. I rolled over, my head throbbing. Jenna and Jess helped me up as I sobbed quietly. I was cold, scared and the rush of bravery I'd felt when we snuck out of the hotel had ebbed away.
Jess smiled at me through the darkness.
'It's gone, now.' She whispered. But something in her eyes told me she didn't quite believe it herself. And I knew we all shared the same fear. That it would be back.
We snuck back through the door of the hotel, but when I slunk back over to the desk to press the button again I noticed the the receptionist was no longer there. It struck me as strange but I thought nothing else of it. As we crept up the half lit stairs I stopped and almost tripped my friends up when I saw our shadows moving on the wall. I was really edgy, which wasn't helped by the fact that I heard raised voices coming from our room... One thought was in my head: I was sure the creature had got in. I dashed up the stairs, my friends close behind. When we pulled open the door the lights were on and a group of hotel staff were talking to my hysterical parents... They thought we'd been kidnapped.
'ALLIE! JESS! JENNA!' Cried my Mum.
Dad walked over...
'You 3 have a lot of explaining to do...'
