Title: A Day in the Life of a Cowboy Family Part 1
Once upon a time, there was a family of cowboys. All but 1 were girls, though. The mother was named Emily, and she was the best smeller. All of the 3 kids were the same age: 15 years old. The boy was named Matthew, and he was best at hearing. There was a girl named Melissa, and she could see the farthest and the best. Finally, there was another girl named Ashley, and she was the strongest and the fastest runner. All of them had horses. Emily had a male horse she named Brea. Matthew had a female horse he named Sheaf. Melissa had a male horse she named Cabal. Finally, Ashley had a female horse she named Fledge. All of the horses were special in the same way their masters were special: Brea was the best smeller of the horses; Sheaf was best at hearing; Cabal was best at seeing, and Fledge was the best runner and the strongest of the 4 horses. They also had a farm with plenty of chickens, cows and buffalo. The family also grew plenty of wheat, beans and rice. At the beginning of the day, middle of the day, and in the evening, at breakfast, lunch, and dinnertime, the family would go collect chicken eggs, and kill some chickens & cows. They would also collect wheat to make into bread, beans and rice. After about an hour of hunting, and getting as much food as they could, they would sit down at a table and eat, with Emily cooking. The family was careful to not eat it all, for some of it would be fed to the animals. They also had a vault full of food for emergencies. They lived next to a river, where they got their water. Well, one day, they were just sitting around their campfire when Matthew heard a noise. He heard footsteps, and they were close. Matthew quickly told the other 3, and they stood up fast, looking around. Melissa saw that the footsteps were coming from the nearby woods, and the people inside, sneaking up on them looked suspiciously like…“Indians!” Melissa cried. The family started rounding up the animals (except for the horses, whom they rode) and putting them into their big barn. They also made sure their emergency food vault was closed and locked. Then the family rode their horses and faced the enemy Indians, who were just now barging out of the woods.
