Sleep, Christian children,
Don't say a word.
Ignore that howling noise you heard.
There may be a monster under your bed,
But not in your heart or in your head!
Fight that darkness with the light;
And fear no evil here tonight.
When fear passes through your home,
Creeping, seeking through the place you
Own.
Stand bold in His great and Holy power,
And don't tremble in that darkest hour.
For what are we?
We're the soldiers of God!
In the armor of Light
We are truly shod.
So when it's dark and
You feel them there,
Stand up bold
And never fear.
Just say, ' I STAND UNITED WITH GOD
THE FATHER AND THE SON,
AND THROUGH HIM I HAVE ALREADY WON!'
So sleep with good dreams
Of life and love,
Cause He's protecting you
From above.
