Title: Meera: Cloud Racer ~Part1
Meera zoomed through the mountains. Her mind felt free and refreshed out here. It always did. It was just hard to remember this was serious training.
As she sped over the icy mountain peaks, she spotted her friend, Asia, below. Calling out to her, Meera rose to her knees on her cloud.
Suddenly, she lost her balance and tumbled off.
BAM! She hit the net hard. Ia cackled at her. Meera hated how Ia always had to tell everyone when she made a mistake. Her twin sister always made her feel embaressed.
'Meera? Are you all right?' asked To Rensenter, the flying instructer. 'I'm worried about you, Meera. These clumsy mistakes may cost you dearly someday. Why can't you be more like Ia?' Rensenter scratched his chin. 'Now there's a talented flyer,' he mused.
As Meera and Asia walked home from School that day, Meera told Asia about her miserable flying expreience. 'It's so unfair that everybody compares you to Ia. It's not your fault she's better at everything,' Asia said solemly.
Just as Meera was about to reply, they bumped into Raja. 'Hello Meera,' he smiled. 'Heard about your fall. Are you alright?' Meera turned deep red. 'Yeah, I'm ok.' 'Good. I wouldn't want Trook's lil' sis getting hurt.' Meera frowned. Why couldn't anyone think of her as someone other than 'Trook's little sister', or 'Ia's twin'? 'Take care of yourslef, kiddo,' Raja laughed. 'Hi Asia. How's life treating you?' 'Uh, good.' 'Good. See ya around.'
As he walked away, Asia giggled. 'He knows my name!' she grinned. Meera couldn't help smileling. 'I wish he knew mine,' she joked and they both laughed.
