Title: Meera: Cloud Flyer~Part 2

Meera entered the back door quietly as she could. The rusty hinges creaked and moaned.
'Meera?'
She froze.
'Meera, is that you?'
'Yes, Mom.'
Meera's mother, Tu Lawrence, entered the back hall. She looked almost like a ghost in the pale, fading light of late afternoon. Her long dark hair, almost touching her feet, was braided and tied with a small white cord. Her tunic, also white, went just past her knees and her feet were decorated with small pointy shoes.
'You know the rules. You're not to use the back door anymore.'
'Yes, Mom,' Meera sighed.
Her mother left, walking so quietly all you could hear was the soft rustle of her tunic.
As Meera climbed the stairs to her room, she thought of Ia. Ia looked so much like their mother. Whenever Meera said they were twins, no one believed her. Meera was the plain one, she knew it. Her light brown eyes were anything but beautiful, her brown hair was straight like sticks.
She still remembered the day when she met Asia. Ia had just pointed out that Meera was the ugly twin, and Meera had ran away sulking. She never cried about what her sister did to her. What was the point? It didn't do anything but make her feel worse.
Asia also had a sulking spot-Meera's. Meera hated the thought of sharing the spot with someone else. She didn't have anything of her very own. But Asia had turned out to be a great person to sulk with, because she never actually sulked. She tried cheering you up or making you laugh.
Meera would do anything for Asia. They had been friends for so long, Meera and Asia were more like sisters then Meera and Ia were. What Meera didn't know was far she would soon have to go to save Asia.
