Title: Meera: Cloud Racer~Part 3
Meera awoke, sunlight streaming in her room, the longs rays reaching out to her. It was unusualy cold that morning, and Meera shivered as she hopped out of bed.
As Meera walked down the hall, she passed Ia's room. The door was closed tight, which was strange for Ia. One of her little known secrets was that she was afraid of the dark. Meera had promised never to tell anyone, although Ia had made the same promise and Meera's secrets were know to half the school.
Slowly, Meera pushed the open the door. No one. 'That's odd,' she thought to herslef. And continued down the hall again.
Meera and Ia were very good at evesdropping; they had often done it when they were little. Meera did it by herslef mostly now. Just as she steped on the top stair, she heard her mother and fathers voices in the parlor.
'What are we going to do? We can't possibley pay that much money.'
'But we have to get Ia back.'
'It will take years to make that much money. They want it now.'
'There has to be a way.'
'I'm afraid there is nothing we can do.'
What was this? Ia gone? Meera's head was spinning. She listened for more, but none came.
Running back down the hall, she pounded on Trooks door. 'Trook!' she yelled, 'Trook, wake up!' The door opened and Trook stepped out, his eyes heavy with sleep.
'What is it?'
'Ia's in trouble. I don't how, and I don't know why, but I know we have to help her.'
