Title: Crookshanks' Secret Love (Chapter 2)
Crookshanks sat in the Common Room for nearly an hour, waiting for eight o'clock to come. At ten 'til eight he went up to the dormitory, slipped through the TSE ('Mice.'), and rushed down the long, dark tunnels to the corridor where they were to meet. As a clock chimed, Mrs. Norris came round a corner. She smiled at Crookshanks and said, 'Lets go for a walk.'
Crookshanks bound up next to her. 'You're Mrs. Norris?'
'Yes, I am Mrs. Norris. And who are you?'
'Crookshanks. I heard people talking about you. But they were wrong. They said that you were…'
'Shh!' Mrs. Norris stopped. 'Listen.'
Crookshanks could hear it too. Footsteps. He looked around and saw a door partly open. He jerked his head towards it and they both darted through it.
The room was very comfortable. Crookshanks' and Mrs. Norris' feet sunk deep into the thick, purple carpet that covered the floor. On several of the chairs were soft pillows, a few of which were also on the floor. Crookshanks walked over to a pile and felt each one to find the softest. When he found it, he pushed it over to Mrs. Norris who started to purr. He felt happy that she liked it.
'Where are you from?' Crookshanks asked as he sat down on a pillow next to hers.
Mrs. Norris smiled and began to tell about her life and experiences.
Late into the night Crookshanks and Mrs. Norris talked to each other. At three in the morning Mrs. Norris said, 'I need to go. Will you meet me here again tomorrow at the same time?'
'If I have to fight my way here, I will,' Crookshanks replied earnestly. He smiled at Mrs. Norris, who smiled back at him.
She stood up and walked to the door. She then stopped, turned and whispered, 'Goodbye, Crookshanks.' Mrs. Norris slipped through the door with a flick of her tail.
Crookshanks sat there on the pillow, staring at the cat he loved.

Crookshanks and Mrs. Norris met every night for weeks. They though nothing could happen that would stop there happy times together. However, that was about to change.
