I *love* the books. I've re-read them *a lot* of times. They're genius.
But the films are a waste of plastic. Poeple who havent read the books didnt get what was going on, and people who did, became violently ill in the theatres.
I dont think its really that hard to make a good adaptation. Look at Lotr. At least that movie actually makes sense.
