Before Harry was born, there was, of course,his mother,Lily.She had left Hogwarts, and was planning to marry James, Harrys Dad. They had been engaged several months and were both looking forward to the big day.'James' said Lily to her fianc'e.'I've got something important to tell you.''Tell me anything my dear, as long as it isn't more bad news'he replied wearily.'What bad news have you already had James?' asked Lily sternly, raising her eyebrows.'You Know Who has struck again.' Replied James,stonily.Lily took a sharp intake of breath.'Where' she mumered shakily.'In the area.'said James gruffly. 'Wormtails grandfather.Apparently Wormtail and his Grandfather Were very close.Distraught, he was,old Wormtail'.
