Title: Why

Oh why,
Why did I take two dimes instead of the bill?
Because two is more than one, I thought,
and took them with joy and thrill.

Oh why,
Why did the fish go down the little slot?
All I did was pull the plug,
and turn on the whirl pool, I thought.

Oh why,
Why did the ink splatter on my shirt?
Because I negiected to put the cap on,
And it stained it just like dirt.

Oh why,
Why did I run on the waxed, school floor?
Because I needed some excitment in school,
It was really making me snore.

Oh why,
Why did I pass up the 'BEWARE OF DOG' sign?
Well if my dog is nice, that one should be too, I thought,
And got bit on my behind.

Oh why,
Why did I swim past the buoy in the sea?
I wanted to see how deep it was,
and got stung before you could say
'Gee-my-nee'

I will tell you why I did all these things,
It's because of my peanut-sized brain.
When I was young, I took all my smarts,
And flushed them down the drain.
