Lad stiffled a laugh as he realised the third hand was a glove hanging down on sting from a jacket which belonged to who he supposed was his father. It WAS Lads father, but Lad didn't know this yet, what with a replica on the loose!
But this father had two terrifying scars across his face! His horrible, HORRIBLE face started to move. Lad thourght he was going to faint, it was so discusting! The father said in a voise that didn't sound human 'I have a lot to tell you...' he looked like he was going to drop down, he sounded so tired, so Lad went over to help him over to a chair.
'I thought I'd find you here,' said Lad's father, 'this place has been a secret family room for years, all the underground passageways lead all over the WORLD!!! Its amazing really, but a person could get lost in it for years. I'm the only one left with a map... if they were to get into the wrong hands... Lad you must listen to me! You MUST beilieve me, you must understand. They nearly got me,' he becond to his scars, 'but I escaped, I still have the power of the necklase, but it will leave me soon, so I must show you.' He paused for effect,'Lad.' he sighed, 'I know we havn't been exactly close, but I would really like to start over, but theres a terrable DARK secret I must tell you, well not DARK exactly, but you must not tell a SOUL!' Lad's father looked like he was expecting a responce so Lad said 'Sure pop, I understand'
His father said 'Okay then, let me start from the begining,' sigh, 'when I was young, about your age, there was going to be a war, a war between the dark and the light, and there was said to be some people out there, that could defeat one side, so both sides were searching, searching for the chosen ones. They searched high and low. But my grand father, your great grandfather, he was one of the lords of light, and he knew I was one of the chosen ones. He knew this because, this amazing power runs in families. And he had the power, but he was too old, too strong, that if he got hold of the necklase and used it (you see the power only works if you wear this necklase) and if he used it, it might forse him to use it for the dark side. Only someone true at heart would be able to use it and use it only for the light side.' He stopped, sighed again. 'It is now your turn.' He left the necklase and the map of the underground secret passageways, and dissappeared without a trase.
Lad put the necklase on and pondered over the map.
