Title: My Thoughts
I feel, personally, that edbydesign.com is an excellent place to be if you like to write stories and poetry. I love the fact that the website gives you many options to build your story from, and there are also different activities, such as math games, to build other skills as well. I like this variety, but I also have some suggestions for the site. I think it's great that you rate stories, and I wouldn't think it a big deal if I got a 1 on my story/poem/other, but that's not why I think the ratings should be removed. Personally, I feel that some people might be influenced by the ratings, and stay away from a certain story just because it didn't get a 5 or 4. We all have different opinions, too, so it would really be a shame if you missed out on a story/poem/other that you really would have liked had you known to read it. I have another idea - why don't you create a place, every month, where some of the best writing is placed? I know it might sound like a lot of work, but it sure would beat the ratings. Maybe you could also have 'Story of the Day' and 'Story of the Week' and 'Story of the Month' and so on, if you wanted to do that. I've also seen sites place stars next to stories that the editors really liked. It's your site, of course, but I just wanted to offer my own thoughts and suggestions.
