Title: The Secret of Three Quarters - Chapter Four
Harry whipped around. For one fleeting moment of sheer, absolute terror, he thought it was Voldemort himself. But to his relief, it was not. It was Dumbledore.
'Professor Dumbledore, sir, what are you doing here?' Harry asked him in mild surprise.
Dumbledore smiled sadly at him. 'Someone sent me an owl, Harry, saying that there was trouble. I Apparated just in time to hear your excellent theory, which I thought of myself when I heard the details of the incident.'
'So you really think Voldemort is nearby, Professor?' Harry said. George and Fred flinched as the sound of Voldemort's name fell from Harry's tongue.
'Yes, Harry, I agree with you, for the same reasons that you explained yourself.'
Harry turned to Dumbledore, looking worried. 'Do you know what happened to Ron, Professor?'
'Mr. Weasley? Voldemort performed Imperio on him, I can tell, ordering him to fake death. An excellent strategy, I must admit - for the foolish and gullible. As for the likes of you and me, Harry...we know better. Before we break the curse, however, I must show you something else. Come.'
Bewildered, Harry followed Dumbledore through the streets of Diagon Alley, leaving Fred and George behind. They came to a stop in front of Flourish and Blotts, where a much smaller crowd had gathered, but a crowd all the same. Harry strained to see over the heads, but it was impossible. Suddenly he found himself leaning over another immobile body...
