I am a rose
nice to look at
delicate and soft to touch
a harsh touch can harm me
but that is all that people look to see.
There is more to me than meets the eye
there are thorns.
Thorns that are sharp thorns that prick
beware these thorns
but only if you are careless or cruel
for roses are delicate flowers
to be cared for by kind people
who will keep me covered when it is cold out
and when it is warm again I will grow stronger and more beautiful
I don't need much
just TLC and time
but remember that roses are delicate flowers
so please be careful with me
