Title: My love will still linger, my darling, my friend.
The door was blasted off of its hinges. Lily got up from her chair and ran to the door. James's shouts could be heard from downstairs. Lily ran into the living room. 'James!' she cried. James, with his wand high above his head, was standing about ten feet away from the man they were supposed to be hiding from- Lord Voldemort.
'Lily!' James shouted. 'Get out of here! Get out of the house! Go-' Then another deafening blast echoed through the house. James was forced backwards into the wall. 'James!' Lily gasped. 'I said GO, Lily!' James shouted, looking slightly mad.
'I love you, James!' Lily yelled over the boom that had just sent glass shattering fom the windows. 'I love you, too, now GO!' James hollered again.
Now the whole of the bottom part of the house was on fire. Voldemort advanced on James, then- 'AVADA KEDAVRA!' Lily heard as she ran franticly up the stairs. She wiped the tears from her eyes as she picked up Harry and slammed the door shut. She ran to the window in the bedroom and flung it open, then prepared herself for the worst.
