Title: Downtown#3

“Oh you, stop right there!”
It was the security guard.
“Run, run!” shouted Emma.
I didn’t know what to do so I just ran. I know I shouldn’t have though. The security guard had started chasing us and had been joined by two others.
All these mad thoughts were rushing through my head. What would my mum do? What would we do? What would the police do? I couldn’t believe Emma had done this. She always seemed so nice and kind and I never would have thought she would have done such a thing. She had completely terrified me! I was so scared!
All the people were staring as we both stormed past. They all had disgusted looks on their faces. I didn’t really blame them though I would if I was in their places.
We finally reached the main door of the Tremstead shopping centre and we thought we might get away, but it was just our luck that three more policemen came running straight into us.
They grabbed hold of us and I just stood there but again to my surprise Emma wriggled and wriggled she wouldn’t give in. in the end she had to. The policemen dragged me off to one car and Emma to another. Just as we were getting in Emma shouted to me,
“I’m so sorry, Louise!” she was almost crying now!
I just gave her a blank look. Could I forgive her or not? Should I? She had just gotten me into a big heap of trouble with my mum! Not to mention the police! I felt anger bubbling around inside of me but when we were reaching the police station it was overcome by worry!
When the police cars pulled up the door opened and I stepped out. I felt like running off again but I couldn’t leave Emma. Even though it was all her fault! I could feel tears creeping out the corners of my eyes and I tried to blink them back.
“What’s your name darling?” queried one of the policemen.
I just stared.
“Louise,” said Emma.
“And you?”
“I’m Emma.” She said again in a lower, quieter voice. I think she was ashamed of herself!

After we had both been questioned we had to sit outside for a bit. Then another policeman came out with a calm look on her face. I thought we might have got away lightly but…
“I’m sorry girls but we are going to have to call your parents! You are both going to have to pay a fine of £40!”
“No,” I shouted, “I’m sorry mum!”
