A table with seven differently shaped bottles standing on it in a line. 'Snape's,' said Harry. 'What do we have to do?' They stepped over the threshold,immediately a fire sprang up behind them in the doorway.It wasn't ordinary fire either;it was green.At the same instant,yellow flames shot up in the doorway leading onward.They were trapped.'Look!' Hermione seized a roll of paper lying next to the bottles.Harry looked over her shoulder and read it:Forward lies Danger,safety lies back,Two of us will aid you,the others will react,one of us lead forward the other leads back,three of us are killers,the other two are red wine,to help you choose we give you four clues:First,however the poisen tries to hide, it is always on the red wines' side left side;Second,different ones stand on either end,but if you would move onward,neither is your friend;Third,as you can see,all are different size,Neither dwarf nor giant holds death in their insides;Last,the second left and the second on the right are twins once you taste them,though dfferent at first sight.
Hermione didn't speak for several minutes as to reading more times.Finally she said 'Ahah!' 'Seven bottles:three are poisen two are wine,one will get us through the yellow fire,the other green.' 'Biggest bottle but smallest amount will get us toward the stone,the 2nd biggest bottle and biggest amount will get us back to Ron' 'Be carefell Harry.'said Hermione 'I will.' he said as they drank the bottles and walked through the fires...
