Title: "The Last of Winter, First of Spring"

Drip… Drip… Drip…
Where has winter gone and what is to come
It is mid-February and already a mist is gathering along the hill tops
Your surroundings are more of a green than last week's golden grass
There is still a while before the caw of the crow or the gentle singing of the morning dove
You wake upon a rising sun shining in your window
Is this a dream
No this is the first sign of Spring
A mild day awaits your presence as time slowly passes
What is to come in the day ahead what are you waiting for, get out of bed
There are things to be done, shadows to be seen
Finish your work and time will allow you to relax and enjoy, for a wonderful day is in progress
Pack a picnic, take a country drive, or take a rest in favorite rocker on the porch
You better get these favorites done
Because this is the first day of spring
