Title: Magical Happenings at Ron's
Ron Weasley was waiting. When he heard the sound of a car he rushed outside. Out of the car came his best friend Hermione. His dad, Arthur Weasley went up to Hermione's parents and started asking them questions like how the car worked. Ron smiled in an embarrassed sort of way then they both went inside. Mrs Weasley was yelling at Fred and George who seemed to have exploded the toilet.
'People in the village are already suspicous. Explosions! Apples flying in the air! Keep quiet or regret it!'
Mrs Weasley smiled when she saw Hermione and her expression softened.
'Oh, hello dear.'
They went in to Ron's bedroom. Pigwidgeon, Ron's owl was in a very active mood.
Hermione listened a bit.
'Err.. Ron? Why are there cracks in your ceiling?'
'The ghoul is dropping more pipes than ever. I think it got a letter from an Aunt or something. And it got more pipes when Fred and George blew up the loo. It's getting on my nerves too.'
Hermione smiled.
'Well.. We could try and sort the ghoul ou-'
Ron gave a hollow laugh.
'How exactly, genius, can we take on a ghoul? We're not supposed to use magic out of Hogwarts.'
Hermione's smile broadened. Ron's garden had loads of Gnomes in it.
'Ron, my friend. It's time to take advantage of the gnomes'
Have you ever met a gnome? In the muggle realm they look a bit look like Father Christmas. But in the magic world they look like potatoes with ugly faces. And they bite.
Ron and Hermione were walking out of the garden. In a rucksack slung across Ron's shoulder were a good twenty gnomes. They climbed into the attic and Hermione saw her first ghoul. It was an ugly grey thing with a squashed face and a very evil-looking smile on it's face. That smile was big and a very open target. Hermione couldn't resist. She threw a perticually wriggly gnome right in his mouth followed by a few threw at the same time by Ron. After the ghoul cursed and flew away into an old battered trunk Hermione thought
'This is going to be a pretty good trip.'
