Title: as told by Sirius (Life in an Azkaban cell) part 2
Part 2
“Father no I’m innocent! Father don’t let them take me!”
Father? The person I recognised as the son of Bartimuse Crouch. Crouch had the second top job in the ministry and took charge of them who were sent to Azkaban. Yes, it was his fault I was in there. He sent me there with no trial or evidence of proof and there he was sending his one son to live for eternity with the dementors. Well he didn’t live for eternity like it felt like I was doing at that time; he died shortly after in his sleep. I watched the dementors from my cell window bury him out side along with the rest of the bodies of prisoners that had some how died in there lonely time in there. What surprised me was the fact that I didn’t feel like dying. I was sentenced for life, had no friends (Left alive that is) no reason to live, no unfinished business yet I hung on as if my sole and body were glued together.
How long had it been, Almost twelve years since then? The bars on the window were no longer as thick as my arm but as thick as My waist. Well I was still alive and kicking although the only thing I felt like kicking was Peter. And one day there he was.
Cornelius Fudge the minister for magic was hanging around one day not taking much notice of any one behind the cell door. I was surprised that a man like him became the minister for magic as he jumped at the site of me. With my arms hanging loosely out through the bars of the door’s window and my sallow unshaven face staring back at his I now understand how he felt. All I did was ask for the newspaper he was holding as I really did miss everything, the cross words most of all. Slowly with out any manner of speech, he passed it to me through the bars and I took it up with a thanks. I went back to the bench and flipped it open to reveal nine smiling people all waving at me. Ore shall I say ten? Because there he was, sittings on that boy’s shoulder with a missing paw.
