Title: The true story

The true story about what happened near Rivendell is this: As the hobbits were walking, they heared a horse. The thundering hoofs were right on top of them. It was a ringwraith. Frodo fainted, and strider tried to carry him, but he kept stumbling and tripping. The ringwraith's horse kicked Strider so he was unconcious, and started to reach for frodo. But then a silver streak flew out of the bushes, grabbed Frodo and began flying toward the river, with the ringwraith hot on it's heels. Stider woke up, and saw something half horse and half human with frodo in it's arms. What really shocked him was that it was a child: a girl! More ringwraiths joined the first one, and suddenly one appeared right in front of the horse-girl! She leaped over it, and the ringwraith screeched to a halt. The horse child hesitated at the river, looked at the ringwraiths, and sailed across. The the elfs flooded the river and destroyed the ringwraiths. (temporarily.) When the others made it across, the horse girl was gone, and Frodo was safe. Elrond, Gandalf and Strider talked about it, and decided it had been a centaur. Fables said they appeared at times of great need. They changed the story to keep rumors from going wild. 'Besides,' said Strider, 'Who would believe us anyway?'
