I woke up and smiled. Today I would get a Pokemon! I put on my white shirt and baggy blue jeans. Then I crept down the stairs.'Oh,
Anna! Here's your breakfast!'Mum said. I looked at my breakfast. It was a sandwich.'I
decided to make you a sandwich so you could have it on the way to Prof. Oak's Pokemon Lab,'Mum explained. So, I put my backpack on
and took my sandwich.'Bye Mum. I'll miss you!'I cried as I ran out the front door and
waved.
I ran along the concrete path and out the garden. 5 minutes later I was at Prof. Oak's Pokemon Lab. I knocked on the door and it was widely opened by Prof. Oak.'Hello, Anna. Come in,'Prof. Oak said,'your rival, Luke, is here.''Oh, nuts, I muttered. Prof. Oak handed me a Pokedex and 5 empty Pokeballs. Then, he led me to a room where Luke and two other Trainers were.'Hi, Anna, when we choose a Pokemon, we'll battle,'he grinned,'and I'll win,'he muttered, under his
breath. Luke chose Bulbasaur, another Trainer
chose Charmander, and the last Trainer chose
Squirtle.'Where's my Pokemon?'I said, in alert, I couldn't see a Pokeball left.'Here,
take this little Pichu I got from Prof. Elm,
in New Bark Town,'Prof. Elm said, and handed me a small yellow Pokemon.'It doesn't have a
Pokeball,'Prof. Elm said.'Let's have a battle
now, Anna,'Luke said.'OK,'I said, and got ready to battle.
