Title: Broken Time

Broken Time

I see time pass.
Then in an instant,
it falls to the ground
shattering like glass.

A pool is formed
from my eyes, so small
so wet and red, from
which ice drops fall.

Sitting in my bed, awake,
looking into black night.
Creeping, like a snake,
it grasps me tight.

Many bother and ask,
'Ashley, what's wrong?'
I quickly put on my mask
and pretend to be strong.

Broken is my heart,
burned are my tears,
leaving me to death,
exposing my tears.
