Title: Emma Disappears Chapter 1
Three bored children sat staring numbly out the window, watching the rain drip down the guttering.
“I'm so bored.” Samantha the oldest grumbled. “I have never been so bored in my life.”
“Me too!” Peter grumbled back.
“Me three!” Emma the youngest said with a sigh.
“Well, why don’t you come shopping with me?” their mother said cheerfully coming up behind them. “Your Aunt Beth has sent you a pound each, and you haven't been to Willsons yet!”
“Hip-Hooray!” Emma cried happily. “Shopping!”
“I’ll go.” Samantha said with a laugh.
“Count me out.” Peter grumbled, not in the least cheered by the thought of shopping.
“Oh cheer up!” Samantha and Emma said and each hearing the other say the same thing erupted in giggles.
“Grab your coats and meet me in the car.” their mother said as she grabbed her neatly hung coat of the hook.
5 minutes later Samantha and Emma joined their mother in the car.
“What are you going to get Emma?” Samantha asked.
“I’m going to get a nice necklace,”
“Not me,” Emma cried, “I’m getting a Teddy.”
“Haven't you got enough teddies?” Samantha asked.
“Nope,” Emma replied.
Samantha was just about to reply that she couldn’t possibly fit any more teddies in her bed when her mother said “We’re here!”
