Title: On My Own
Blurry mind, wasting time, it’s all just a big mess
No time, impatient, clueless, and nothing but stress
Dwelling on the past, feeling the present, worrying about the future
What will arise, what will surprise, what will be brought by Nature
Indescribably feelings, emotions, new people and new love
Insecure, unsure, endure, and contemplating on this new love
Never seen before, never experienced, but always a smile
Smiling faces, warm embraces, a new kind of style
Unique, unforgettable, satisfying, and overwhelming
Astounding, in love and drowning, keeps my heart pounding
No more blindfold, full sight, reality comes back to me
New sights, eyes wide open, new life for me
Like a newborn opening its eyes for the first time
Bright lights, comfortable in the arms of someone new, no thoughts in the mind
Comfort, security, warmth from a loved one, almost feels like a crime
Free, unleashed, unlocked, fear of falling back into a trap
Worried to repeat past mistakes, and impossible to once again find the map
To be released, then fall again, is my fear
Can’t see the future, don’t know what will happen, my mind’s not clear
Scared to be alone, loneliness is an enemy
But can’t depend on anyone, have to be independent, take care of me
Hope to one day find a love that’s forever mine
Taking a risk right now, yet taking my time
But I come first in my life unitl my children are born
Cuz then they are my life and will come first, this to my Lord I have sworn
Only they will be able to get the best of me, not a male
Because I have to be what I struggle for, an independent female
And it will be then and only then will I be truly happy
Cuz I’ll be all that I can be and I will be able to take care of me
Whoever comes along will be a lucky man indeed
Cuz he will have a lovely, mature, independent woman
Who he should know needs money from no one
Won’t have to worry about materialistic things
Just the love that only a man can bring
But for now I shall work hard to achieve all of this
Be independent, yet have someone to care for and miss
That’s not too much to wish for, right?
It’s just hard to find it without a long and hard fight
