Title: Bridge to Terabithia

Jess woke up with a dream. For him, it wasn't just any dream, it was for him to be the best racer in both 4th and 5th grade. He got out of bed, put on his clothes, and went outside. The air was chilly, but he was still determined to run. Later at school, the race was about to begin. Jess lined up, and siddenly, a girl was comming from up the hill. She joined the race too. Jesse never achieved hios goal. Leslie, the girl beat him. Later on in the story, Jesse and Leslie became friends, until one day everything changed. It was a rainy day, and Leslie had the idea toi explore Terabithia. It was a place that she and Jese made up. Leslie grabbed the rope, careful not to slip. The rain was splashing on her face. Then, she swong. Suddenly, sha felt herself falling. The rope was breaking. Leslie fell into the cold, damp water. The current was too strong, she just couldn't hold on.
