Title: Our Journey, Chapter 1 Continued

(Sory the last part of Chapter 1 was short!)

I entered the living room, where my mom had given me a breakfast beverage that contained fried eggs, bacon, toast and hot chocolate. 'Boy, you really like Pokémon, don't you?' my mom said. 'Oh yeah! How can anyone resist catching a Pokémon?' I gulped down my food quickly, just eager to get to Professor Oak's lab. Suddenly the phone rang. My mom answered it. 'Yes... oh hi, Professor Oak! Yes... okay... I'll tell her! Bye!' She put the phone on the receiver. 'What did Professor Oak say?' I eagerly asked. 'Professor Oak is looking for you. He said that you can come by anytime to pick up your beginner Pokémon,' my mom said. 'Oh, yeah! Professor Oak said he'd give trainers Pokémon! Oak said it's first to come, first served!' I finished my food and hurriedly packed all my supplies into my backpack. And extra food had made for me. I hugged my mom goodbye and started off down the walkway. 'Give me a call when you reach Viridian City!!' my mom called, waving.
While on the way to the lab, I waved to the other people of Pallet. But one house I passed by took the smile right off his face. This is where his long-time rival, Corey, lived. Corey was the pure embodiment of evil... at least in my eyes he was. For some reason, we never got along well.
A few minutes later, I saw Professor Oak's lab up on a small hill in front of him. I ran up to the door and opened it. I stepped inside, looking around. I walked to the end of the room and there I saw Corey. 'Hello, Corey,' I muttered, much like Jerry Seinfield would say hello to Newman the postal worker. Corey turned around. 'Hello, Kristin,' he muttered. 'Where's the professor?' I asked, looking around the room. There was a desk with three red and white Pokéballs on it. Suddenly the professor walked in. 'Professor, I'm fed up with waiting!' Corey complained. 'Oh, hi Corey. Just wait a minute, please. Kristin, once, I was a serious Pokémon trainer. But, in my age, I have only three left... but you can have one!' 'All right!' I exclaimed. 'Hey! Professor! What 'bout me?' Corey interrupted. 'Be patient!' Oak chided. 'Corey, you can have one too.' 'Hmm. Which one do I want? Well, professor, after thinking about the Pokémon you're giving out, I choose, out of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, I choose the Fire Pokémon, Charmander.' 'And I get Squirtle!'
