Title: Lord of the Rings in Happyville part 6
A note: This is actually continuing nicki 92's series, lord of the rings in happyville.
An eerie silence crept over the fellowship as they made their way through the forest towards Sauron's Tower. Little pink leaves mingled with the green ones, and they formed a carpet in which they were forced to walk through. The only sound was the crunching of the leaves beneath them
Suddenly and finally, Gandalf spoke. He looked up at the little marshmallow atop his head and carefully woke it up with a little nudge. It woke with a start.
'I have to ask you someth--'
'What Was that for? I was dreaming such a nice dream and I was up to the best part when you had to come and spoil everything!'
The marshmallow was spoilt enough anyway, and everyone sighed in exasperation when it said this,but Gandalf went on.
'marshmallow, do you know anything of a wizard named Sauron? Do you know anything that might be of some use?'
'I have a name mister, if you don't mind me saying so, and I don't expect you to take it in vain!'
'Then who are you?' interrupted Sam.
'I'm Squash.'
'Then, Squash, could you please answer Gandalf's question?' cried Legolas.
There was a small pause, in which Squash took the time to search its tiny mind for an answer to this unexpected question.he had never been asked such a difficult question before!
'No.'
'WHA-'
'Okay! I’ll think again.
After what seemed an age, he finally spoke'Well,' he began slowly'I think this Sauron you're talking about might be growing some strange flowers. Mummysaid that there filled with poison and anyone to falls in never comes out; they get sucked in and their organs get turned into mush.'
He now grinned at the effect of his words. Everyone had turned slightly pale.
'And also, ' he continued, 'Anyone who dips into the poison becomes hypnotised anyway and they turn against their friends. From what I've been told they're somewhere around here. And, by the way, with those monster plants around you won't be able to use your compass. But I'm not scared. Are you?'
He needn't have asked. Pippin gulped.
'Well,' said Frodo, breaking the silence, 'let's not tag around. We better get going.'
They carried on in silence for about an hour. There was nota bird, one cricket, to liven the forest. They could only faintly discern the sun from the bottom of that forest; the canopy was so thick. And all eyes were peeled for any signs of a monstrous lolly shaped flower or some other form of treachery in this pink and green forest.
