Title: Waiting...
Laura cried the last tear she had in her eye. She had been watching and waiting for Ma and Pa to appear and take her to heaven with them. She hated her life now. She had no chores to do, no bread to slice, no Furry to feed...no nothing to do except for go to school and be a clean little lady. Whenever she heard a sound behind her, she looks behind, smiling. But it was always Almanzo. When Laura discovered that it was Almanzo, she goes back to staring at the clean shiny water of Lake Huron. 'Laura!' Almanzo would shout. 'Ms. Petunia wants you to come home.' 'Almanzo,' Laura would distrestly replies. 'No. Tell Ms. Petunia that I am waiting here for my parents.' 'Laura!' Almanzo would plead. 'Please!' 'No!' Then there would be a lot of tugging and yanking and pulling till you would a young distressed boy's tone groan, 'Oh fine.'
Laura grew and lived there. She picked fruits from the tree, stole meat and all the supplies and somehow made a living through the freezing nights of winter. After waiting for ten years, Laura humphed. She would have to go to heaven by herself. So, at the age of 25, Laura Freedman drowned herself to death.
Ring, ring! 'Laura Freedman has arrived safely! Hurray!' Heaven was certainly beutiful. Laura looked around when she saw a slender, young lady running towards her. Guess what? It was Ma! 'Ma, ma! Where is Pa?' Laura asked. Ma brought Laura under her arm. 'He is the king. You are the princess!' And they lived happily ever after!
