Title: The Quest of the Lord's Daughter
The Quest of the Lord's Daughter
Chapter 1 "Who Am I"
I'm Alison. I'm the first child in my family. My mother and father are the Lord and Lady. We live in Amsterdam castle. I have two brothers and one sister alive. I had two brother and sisters but they died at birth.
I'm going to tell you about the castle. It does not have good lighting, but we learn to live with it. All of the knights live in the castle. All of the people who have disobeyed my father live in the dungeon. In the castle there is an excape exit, I would tell you, but if our enemies look at this we will not be able to get out.
Chapter 2 "The Dungeon"
Today I'm going to the dungeon with my friend Margaret to see the inmates stomp on the ground. We had to look though bars because we are not allowed in the dungeon. The dungeon was cold. The people are only fed two meals a day. There are two cells with two people in them amd two cells with three people in them.Their names are Omar, Bartholonew, Rollo, Hugh, and Merlin. They were put in the dungeon because they took over an abandoned house with out talking to Father.
Chapter 3 "The Plague"
When I was about two years old there was a plague. It started at a nearby kingdom and came to our kingdom. About one hundred people died from it. My family and I got food, sheets, and clean water and went into a room. Nobody came in or out. We had to stay in the room until we heard bells which meant the plague was over.
We had parties. But then we had to have someone to tell all the nearby villages. I hope we someday know what the plague is.
Chapter 4 "The Journey"
Today I went to play with Margaret again. We went to a monastery. It was very quiet. We went to the head priest and he is the only one who was allowed to talk. He asked us if we would like to learn how to write. Margaret and I both cheerfully said, "yes." He sent us to another room.
The room was filled with books. I saw a man with a very long beard. He couldn't talk, too. He showed us how to write the alphabet. Then he showed us how to put letters together to form words. I hope I can teach Father.
