Title: Why Me (takes place in 1274)

Chapter1-Who I Am

I am Renald. I am a Page in trainig to be a Knight. My full name is Alexander Renald Shorkone. I go by Renald, which was my father's name before he died in battle.
My mother and father were King and Queen. They both died when the castle was under attack. Two of my brothers were killed also. My other brother and I escaped. My brother Jason lives in Tentegal Castle and is a Squire. I live in the castle of Rhone and live in royalty. The King is my father's brother and he takes care of me.
To earn money I work in a blacksmith. I know how to forge swords, knives, and bows and their arrows.
I am 11 and my brother is 16. The castle I live in is very large. It has deafeining defenses and is the best protected castle in all the known world. The army can defeat any other army that is twice the size. That is who I am.

Chapter2-The Dungeon

"What do you mean my cousin is in the dungeon," I shouted, just discovering my cousin Richard is in the dungeon!
"I mean he was caught stealing," Michael told Renald. "My brother was caught stealing a mink coat at the market earlier today."
"What is the penalty," I asked.
"There going to cut off his hands," Michael replied.
"Then we better hurry to Antiok," I said as we got up on our horses and left.
What a bad place it was. It was very dark and gloomy. It smelled horrible and wasn't the least bit cleaned.
All right your free to go, we found the real theif. He was dressed just like you," said the magistrate.
"I knew you wouldn't steal," Michael said happily to his brother, Richard.

Chapter3-The Plague

There had been a terrible plague down south. It was killing many people and started coming towards our castle. A few people had experienced it already in the castle. People started turning green and rotting away. We know no cure for it. It was the most painful way to die. Someone would be screaming in pain for up to a week. It was called The Rottonen Plague. People were afraid of water and food and would die because they wouldn't eat or drink. My arm was starting to rott. Ouch! I was in extreme pain! Clouds started to form and it started to rain. The only people that didn't hide were the sick. It was because we couldn't run. The water caused even more burning pain. Soon, the green started to disappear and everyone was cured. The cure was what people were scared of, water!

Chapter4-The Journey

I've been saving money to buy a horse. After my pay yesterday I just had enough money. I bought a black war horse.
"I'm going to Tentegal too visit my brother,"I told my uncle as I started to ride off.
This doesn't seem like the right town.
"Excuse me, um what town is this," I asked.
"Why this is Karnth," a woman replied.
How did I get to Karnth!?
As I was walking down the street I found a wounded man. It was raining so I took him under cover. He told me his name was Seredian, The One Who Could Read and Write. He said he was going to Rhone, but got beat up on the way. He came back here but, no one would help him. He said he owed me a favor. I asked him to teach me to read and write. He said yes.
On the way home he taught me how to Read and Write.

Chapter5-Unfinished

A war has just started. Some unknown people from the South had come and just started attacking. The war went on and on and on. One by one a kingdom would be taken and then another. Each kingdom taken, one of my relatives would be killed. Our kingdom was the only one left. My brother had fled here after his kingdom's defeat. My brother and I were the only ones left of our blood.
There we stood all with swords, and the attack started. They ran through quickly, slaying all the guards. My brother came to battle. After a long fight with their leader my brothe was killed.
"NO!" I screamed. I quickly ran over, killed the leader and ran.
"Why me! Why did this have to happen to me. I don't know what to do," I talked aloud to myself.
"What am I supposed to do!?"
