Title: Oh Brother!
It is hard to say to someone something that is a little strange.Like for example.
your brother is an alien.Yes that is what i said an alien! As if anybody would believe that!
That is where my story begins.I came home from school one day to find that
my mother, who was due to have a baby any time, was missing. The next strange thing
was that my next door neighbour was waiting for me at the kitchen table.
"Hello dear," My neighbour said.
"Where is my mum?" i demanded.
"She is fine dear she just had to .... had to...,"she said as
she cleared her throat,"she had to go out."
I did not querie or question her answer although i did thing she was a little
vague about it.After that my dad came home, looking worried and stressed.
My neighbour and my father left that room and
started to murmur quietly in the lounge room. I could not hear what they
were saying and at the time I did not really
care.
The next day my father told me that we were
to visit the hospital and see my mother.
So my father and myself went and bought some flowers and
a soft toy. I walked into the room and there
was the ugliest baby I had ever seen, and my mother was
holding him!
"Ouick drop him!" I screamed.
"Darling be quiet, it is your new brother," my mother said to
me in a soothing voice.
Couldn't they see? Were they insane! I looked down at the
bright red plumb creature that had a tuff of light brown hair.
His face was all screwed up and his ears were slightly pointed.
"Maybe you like to be alone with the baby for a minute?"my mother suggested.
So they left the room and it was just me and the baby.
"Hello, I am your new baby brother and I am from Zortron," the baby said in an alien voice.
"Hi, so you're an alien are you?"I said.
"Yes I am," the baby screamed back at me.
Just then my parents came back into the room.
"We have decided to call him Zolan," my mother said.
"So you know too," I said
"Know what sweetie?" my mother said perplexed.
"Know that he is an alien from Zorton and he talks in a funny voice?"I said to my worried parents.
My parents looked at each other and smiled in a worried sort of
way.
"Don't make up such silly things about your brother!" My mother said angrily.
"We know you are a bit jealous but you are
going to have to get used to things,"My father said kindly.
We left the hospital soon after that. That was only
one of the incidents with my brother and I am sure there are
more to come.
I always have told people that my brother is an alien.
But I guess it is pretty hard to believe.
