Title: Hermione's Potion Dilemna (part one)
Hermione slipped the powder into Ron's goblet. Obviously if Ron was paying attention, he would've stopped her. Ron was somewhere else at the time- probably talking to Harry, though Hermione didn't know why. She knew they'd be back- Ron never missed lunch, but it must've been really important for him to leave the table early.
Ron and Harry came back and sat down, both exchanging worried glances. Hermione couldn't figure out what the problem was, other than the fact that Ron still hadn't noticed that his goblet was smoking. Hermione attempted to start a conversation as Ron lifted the goblet to his mouth. Then, Hermione noticed something was seriously wrong with the way the goblet was smoking, and she slapped the pumpkin juice from Ron's hand. The goblet flew across the Great Hall as everyone fell silent, and as it hit the earth, it made a growing echo as it bounced across the floor, and as the talk and laughter ceased. Hermione was trapped, trapped in the mass of students, trapped in Harry and Ron's dumfounded stares, trapped in this confusing world that she had no control over. So she did the only thing there was left to do.....run. She flung herself from the table as the talk started up again, no doubt about what just happened. She ran and didn't stop running until she had slammed and locked the door to the girls' dorms. She leaped onto her bed and, not meaning to, began to cry.
