Title: The Fire Dragon

The Fire Dragon
Once, a long time ago there was a little village high up in the mountains.
Although it was one of the smallest villages in the realm, there were many
inhabitants. Everyone in this little town slept peacefully, knowing that their
king and his knights would protect them from any harm. For many years the
king, Alexander with his wife Jennifer kept the village very safe.
One day as all the townsfolk were going about their daily business one man
looked at the sky and yelled out DRAGON!!! Up in the sky there was a
gigantic figure flying above them and heading for the caves!
Soon the news was passed on to the King Alexander, so not rushing into
anything Alexander sent his finest scout to investigate. Weeks passed and
no sign of the scout, people were beginning to think that he was dead, but
after about another week the scout returned with news about the
DRAGON!!! The young scout told the king that the creature was in fact a
dragon, but not just any dragon it was the legendary Fire Dragon! "For
years this Dragon terrorised the neighbouring kingdoms and now it has
decided to come to our land" said the scout. The king got straight to work
planning an attack, and soon he was planning to leave the castle with fifteen
of his best knights, and fight this fire dragon!!!
On the day when the king Alexander was leaving everyone felt the fear of
losing their beloved king! When the king was heading off with his noble
knights, Queen Jennifer stayed by the gate watching her husband leave her,
not knowing if he would ever return… Days went by no sign of the king or
his knights, then those days turn to weeks and those weeks turn to months.
By that point they were all considered dead. Queen Jennifer was angry and
sad at the same time, at that moment she pledged that she would do what
Alexander wanted to do, even if she would die trying…
Two years Later…
Here it is that wonderful town, which used to be a safe and wonderful place
to be. That little village which was once filled with joyful people and many
beautiful sights, now covered in soot and many people even afraid to leave
their own homes and even the queen could not stop this!!! All this damage,
caused only by one source "The Fire Dragon!" The queen had sent all her
knights to try and defeat this evil creature, but all had failed!!! Now, with no
knights to protect the kingdom, the dragon roams freely, and the only way to
stop it from eating the people was to give a DAILY sacrifice of an animal
(a pig, moose anything)! The queen and the people were not able to keep up
with these huge amounts of food to be given, so as a last hope queen
Jennifer sent messages to the nearby kingdoms… "We are looking for any
brave soul who is willing to help our kingdom fight the evil Fire Dragon…
We will give you any reward!" Now this message was sent across the lands,
there were many brave knights who came to fight but all of them shared the
fait of those before them. Some time later, a young peasant boy, came to the
castle and said that he was willing to try and fight the dragon…
"You, fight a dragon?" the queens adviser laughed out!!!
"Silence!" said the queen
"Everyone deserves a chance" she said,
"Now young man, what is your name?"
"Tiberous" replied the young boy.
"Alright then Tiberous, and what do you require for your quest?"
"All I need is a sheep" he replied,
"A SHEEP, that's it, no armor no nothing?" said the royal adviser, laughing
slightly.
"All I need is a sheep" Tiberous repeated.
After Tiberous prepared he began to head off. He went high up the rocky
cliffs to the caves, where the dragon went in-between meals. When he got to
the cave, he saw many disturbing sights, the beat up armor of knights,
burned shields and many more things!!! The dragon was nowhere outside of
the cave so Tiberous went inside. There he found the dragon fast asleep, the
flame on his tail lit up the whole cave and the heat that came from it made it
extremely hot. Tiberous went straight to work, he took the dead sheep he
was carrying and put it on the ground, then he poured the contents of what
was inside his little blue bottle. In fact the liquid was a magic potion that
has the power to turn anyone or anything to stone!!! Then he left the sheep
there, in hopes that the dragon would eat it. As he was about to leave, the
dragon woke up, and tried to attack Tiberous, in desperation Tiberous picked
up the sheep and threw it toward the dragon, and the dragon swallowed it
whole!!! The potion worked instantly! The dragon was defeated! When
Tiberous returned the whole town greeted him! Every, was there to meet
with him! They all escorted him to the palace, where the queen was there to
meet him. "Thank you so much" she said, "You may have anything you
wish as a reward, we are so grateful!" "The only thing I every wanted was
to be a knight" said Tiberous.
In the end Tiberous became the greatest knight in all the land, and he lived happily every after!


It was a cold gloomy night, with the wind rushing through the straw hut while a young boy named Cassius was sitting on the ground having little or no shelter from the bitter cold. Cassius was a poor peasant boy with no friends and no loving family. His mother never loved him for who he was and was always trying to change him; his father barley ever spoke to him and never respected his thoughts or opinions. And as for his older brother, well he didn't like Cassius PERIOD!!! Since Cassius was so poor, he had no choice but to beg for money while his father and brother would steal and his mother would threaten people for their money.

Cassius was sitting on the dirty ground, wondering if his life was really worth living.
He had just finished his daily routine, and had made, well lets just say it wasn't a lot! He was home alone most of the time, because his parents were always out stealing from dawn till dusk!

When Cassius's parents (and brother) came home, they sat at their small wooden table discussing how much money they had made that day.
"CASS, GET OVER HERE, AND TELL US HOW MUCH MONEY YOU RAISED!" said his mother sarcastically
Cassius went over to the table to join his family, and emptied his money pouch.
"THAT'S IT! GO TO YOUR CORNER, YOU DON'T DESEVERE TO EAT WITH YOUR FAMILY, LET ALONE EAT AT ALL!" Said his father

Cassius went to sleep on his straw bed, feeling that same hunger that he feels almost every night, but even worse was the anger and sadness. He fell into a deep, deep sleep, and found himself in a pitch-black room with a spotlight beaming over him. All around him he heard the voices of his mom, his dad, and his brother chanting these words...
"CASS HOW MUCH MONEY DID YOU make?" his mother's voice said.
"YOU DON'T DESERVE TO EAT WITH YOUR FAMILY" chanted his father's voice.
"I HATE YOU, YOUR SUCH A LONER, YOU'LL NEVER FIT IN!" chanted his brother.

"Stop it, Stop it, JUST STOP!" cried Cassius

Suddenly the voices stopped! Then a kind and soothing voice said...
"Cassius, don't be afraid, I am someone who cares about you, so meet me at the cathedral tomorrow, at dawn!" said a voice that seemed to drift away!

When Cassius woke up he was enchanted by his dream. He longed to go to the cathedral, but he knew his parents would get extremely angry if he even asked, but then it hit him, his parents didn't have to know!!!

Instead of begging that day Cassius headed toward the cathedral. Although it was about an hour's walk, Cassius knew he HAD to go there!
When he got to the cathedral, he opened the gigantic doors, and suddenly a cloud of smoke surrounded the inside of the cathedral!!! From the mist a human shaped figure began to approach Cassius. Suddenly the figure began to speck, it was the voice from his dream...
"Cassius I am here to help you, I must not tell you who I am, but must tell you something of great importance, I sense an evil force has released the sprits of shadows, who's destiny is to destroy our world!" Said the figure
"Cassius you are the only one that can stop it! Take this sword and shied, that were made by the gods for "The Child of Destiny"... YOU!!! "You must first flea the demands from the temple of the gods, HURRY!!!"
With that the figure disappeared but his voice could still be heard...
"Go to the top of the mountain, far away in the west, there you will find a ally who will help you.... you must hurry...
Then the voice disappeared!!!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Then Cassius ran as fast as he could toward the castle...

Meanwhile a man in black was looking in through his crystal ball, an image of Cassius inside it. Then another man entered the room…
