Breaking with Pain

Emotions are like crazed beasts that can break even the strongest of holds and can get terribly out of hand. In this story, I will tell you one of the many times that I couldn’t grip on to my emotions hard enough. I get in a lot of fights with my dad. This one, led to me doing something I shouldn't have. So much can happen in just a couple of seconds. . .
One night , about three years ago , my family was at our small church for vacation bible school. I don’t recollect all the details exactly , but much happened that night. As usual , my dad and I had been fighting. We had shouting at each other so much that I was about to cry. (Because I was going through depression , the simplest things would set me off.) Instead of allowing him to see the tears in my eyes , I dashed off to leave through the door. I was going to cuddle by myself in the car.
Pain barred my vision so , when I reached for the door knob , my hand failed in reaching that. Glass went everywhere as my hand shattered through the window just above the door knob. Everything just seemed to stop. I was extremely frightened and, everyone was looking at me. Panic swept through me and, tears began to trickle down my cheeks.
While a few people tried to help me , others just stared. Even with my hand dripping with blood, my dad yelled at me. He accused me of being so angry that I had broken the window on purpose. That made me hurt all over. He didn’t believe my cries, only thought that I wanted attention. Even though the priest said that I didn’t have to , my dad ended up forcing me to pay for the window,
In this story, I was so blinded by my out of control emotions, that I broke a church window. I shouldn’t have let my emotions out of control, and I believe that it was right that I was forced to be accountable for my actions. If I had realized the rightness in that, I wouldn’t have been so mad then.
