Title: Under A Red Sky-Prologue-A Buffy Fan Fic
Buffy Summers sighed. It was a cold night and as usual she was alone. The silence was eerie though, Buffy was accustomed to some sort of noise.
“It’s creepy.” She murmoured to herself as she tucked a strand of golden blonde hair behind her ear wishing one of her friends was with her. As if someone was listening to her thoughts, Angel appeared and looked at her pale face concerned.
“Are you okay?” He said softly.
“I..well..I” It was hard for Buffy to keep things from him so she quickly said. “Have you noticed a dramatic drop in vampire appearences other then yourself but do you count..I mean?” Angel laughed softly and put his arm around Buffy then he looked serious and grave again.
“I know exactly what you mean though. It seems they are laying low. Whatever it is I don’t like the sound of it, I’m worried for you.” Buffy silently stared at Angel pleased at his concern. Her blue eyes shone in the moonlight. Suddenly a small stout vampire appeared. Biffy sighed and said.
“I was in the middle of something.” She angrilly slayed it and then all eyes on Angel she spoke happilly “So where were we?”
“You should go.”
“Why?” Buffy looked offended and thought about sulking and striding away but Angel’s face looked alarmed and almost scared
“I want to make sure you get home safely. It really isn’t safe, I can just feel it.” Buffy nodded slowly, she trusted Angel’s two hundred and eighty years of wisdom and knew when he said it was bad is was bad.
They walked down the street lit by a dim lamp post and smiled at each other. Buffy softly told Angel she should go as she approached home.
“You know what Mum is like-she still is not used to me being the slayer and then you know-” Angel looked sadly down at his feet, he had behaved despicabley when his soul had vanished and Angelus his vampire persona took over and of course Buffy’s mother Joyce had heard. ‘She will come around soon. Night.’
She quickly hugged him and gave him a quick kiss then as usual sadly departed his company. Her mother was waiting.
“Are you okay?” Buffy nodded gently.
‘I’m tired-can I use the phone quickly?’
