Title: Under A Red Sky-Chapter 1-Part 1
Silently Buffy dialled an all too familiar number as she drank a glass of water in the lounge. I will stay calm she told herself. Angel had seemed so worried about her, a small part of her was pleased he cared so much about her. Finally Willow Rosenburg picked up the phone.
“Hello?” She answered. Music was blaring in the background so Buffy assumed she was at the Bronze, the local club for Sunnydale teenagers.
“Hi Wil it’s me Buffy.” Buffy said waving her hand at her mother who appeared in her room carrying a plate of cinnoman biscuits and hovering by her. Sometwhat distracted Buffy thought about lying to Willow and making out she just wanted a friendly chat but instantly changed her mind. Even if it meant her Mum had to hear everything Willow had to know.
“Did you-” Willow began.
“Angel said I’m in danger. I think he has a point. I only could find one vampire tonight.” Buffy quickly said watching her Mum’s face change at the mention of Angel and the word ‘danger’
“Oh…gee…did he elaborate slightly?” Willow asked, she sounded even more nervous then usual and Buffy suspected that Willow was probably biting her lip or having some sort of reaction.
“You know Angel. He couldn’t, I don’t think he was a hundred percent certain, he just had a feeling.” Buffy looked out the window to the dimly lit street where she had been just minutes ago.
“Isn’t a lack of vampires generally good?” Willow said very quietly.
“Usually yes but this Sunnydale and I just-I don’t know. I just wanted to tell you.” Buffy sighed and reached for a biscuit on the coffee table.
“Maybe we should get the gang together tomorrow?” Buffy agreed and said goodbye. She didn’t feel any better liked she had hoped to. Her mother looked at her bemused.
