Title: Under A Red Sky-Chapter 1-Part 2
“So?” Joyce asked regarding the phone call Buffy had made moments ago. Buffy just told her, the quicker it was over and done with the quicker she could go to bed. As she finished Joyce Summers just stared.
“I don’t see why you trust him and his vibes.” She proclaimed icily. Her dislike for Angel was very obvious and it hurt Buffy. Her mother did not know how Angel was with a soul. He hated himself for the evil he had done and the way he had treated people.
“I have vibes too.” Buffy decided to say in defense as she took up her role as a stroppy teenage daughter and ran upstairs. Angel was on the tree by her window. Locking her bedroom door she let him in and smiled.
“I heard your mother.” He said gravely.
“It’ll take time for her. You did scare her when you were Angelus. Plus she still thinks I’m her ‘little baby girl’ or something like that anyway.” Buffy shrugged. ”She isn’t directly aiming her anger at you-” Buffy stopped it wasn’t helping the situation. “Why are here? Not that I am complaining.” Buffy wanted to hit herself. All she ever did was talk about nothing when Angel was around, he had some kind of influence which could also calm her down after a disaster or bad day.
“I managed to ‘elaborate’ a bit as Willow or Giles would say.” Angel softly laughed. Then he looked at Buffy. She looked scared and alert.
“Great.”
“What’s worng Buff?” Angel asked as he sat on her bed next to her, putting his arm around her softly.
“I don’t know. It’s just-” Buffy sighed and put her head against Angel’s chest.
“I’ll tell you what I found out.” Angel said. “From what I can tell, some vampires are heading South. One said something about changes and evil even more evil then demons. Worse then anything you have faced.” Angel looked out of the window and carried on distantly. “They think it will come in a few weeks maybe days. I have no idea what it is. Nothing could be worse then the Judge or anything like Crystal though she was a witch.”
“Great, now I really will get some sleep.” Buffy said.
“Don’t worry I’m here. Oh, keep an eye on your dreams. They could help, they have before.” Buffy nodded and watched Angel leave. Things couldn’t get worse.
