Bomberman Ex: Episode I: An Adventure to be Taken
Bomberman lives on Planet Bomber and is the protector of one of the legendary
stones. The fire stone, which unlocks the power of being able to lay bombs that result in a
fire type blast. Planet Bomber has been a safe little planet in record, and Bomberman
doesn’t seem to have to protect it any. Until one day....
Somewhere out of Planet Bomber-
"Altair, we have Planet White Glacier under control, we have 4 planets under
control now. Is your energy fulfilled enough now?" Artemis asks. Altair is an evil being
which craves energy, he has three warriors as his top fighters in his army. He has recently
found the sacred Omni Cube in which captures various powers from other planets and
send them to the obtainer (Altair).
"Silence! Enough with this foolishness. Have I had enough? No! The prophecy
behind this Omni Cube has told that one never has enough and once five is obtained the
obtainer has the powers of a god!" Altair yelled.
"I’m sorry master, Regulus and Orion and I are working as hard as ever. Don’t
you think we deserve a little energy?" Artemis asked.
"Humph. Don’t expect it, but if the prophecy is true, you’ll get your fair share,
now which is the nearest free planet?" Altair demanded.
Artemis sat down at a chair and began working away and was finish in a flash.
"Planet Bomber, it contains the Fire Stone, its obtainer: Bomberman," Artemis reported.
"Humph. Bomberman, eh? Well, we’ll see if he can survive longer than any other
opponents. Let’s see if he can survive exactly 5 seconds in my presence. Bomberman,
prepare for my army. For after the day is through, your Planet Bomber will be no more!"
Back on Planet Bomber-
Bomberman was meditating in the Bomber temple. He had picked up this passage
which was supposed to relieve stress from the soul. Bomberman’s stress was that he was
the only Elemental Knight that never got to defend his stone and planet. Bomberman was
almost through with it when his pet haggert, a very common specie in Planet Bomber,
interrupted.
"What is it now, Bomrad?" Bomberman asked.
"Outside, a weird looking bomberman, Bomberman," Bomrad told Bomberman.
Bomberman didn’t wait another second, he went outside to investigate. It didn’t
take him long because the second he walked out the door, the strange bomberman
appeared before his eyes. Bomberman wasn’t intimidated, but Bomrad sure was, it was
jumping up and down with fright.
The bomberman spoke, "Are you the Elemental Knight, Bomberman, he who
holds the Fire Stone?" Bomberman just nodded not saying a word. The strange
bomberman bent down to calm Bomrad but Bomrad ran behind the bushes. He turned
back towards Bomberman. "I am Sirius. This may seem frightening to you, but your planet
is in danger."
"Cool," Bomberman replied, excited that he would get in some action.
"This certainly isn’t ‘cool’," Sirius told him. "This is a big matter, it seems you
haven’t ever fought before against any kind of foe. Have you?"
"So? I am now, what’s the point?" Bomberman told Sirius.
"This is something to be serious about, your cocky attitude will give you no start.
If you plan to defend your stone and planet, you better change it!" Sirius ordered.
"So who is this wimp, I mean challenger?" Bomberman quickly changed.
"This wimp is my brother, Altair. He has great obsession over power. He’ll do
anything for a good dose of more energy. He’s captured four planets, so far," Sirius
reported.
"How does capturing planets give him energy?" Bomberman questioned.
"You see, there is this cube called the Omni Cube that he has recently discovered.
It manipulates planets and captures its various powers and returns them to its obtainer,
Altair. Your planet is next and if he captures it he’ll have the power of a god, so basically,
your planet is in your hands. Your stone is in your hands. And practically the whole galaxy
depends on you, because if Altair finishes you and Bomber then who knows if he can be
stopped," Sirius explained.
Bomberman’s cocky attitude suddenly grew serious. He knew now the truth
behind his adventure and now was ready for the attack. "So what do I have to do to save
the galaxy? Just defeat him?"
"There is much more than that you see. He isn’t open challenged. First of all, he
has an army and three generals to back him up. His planet is protected by a huge barrier
which is protected by the four planets he has captured. He has issued a general on each
planet and also a secret guard against the barrier. Get to and defeat all four barriers and
get to Black Fortress (Altair’s base) and defeat Altair to destroy the Omni Cube, because
now the Omni Cube and Altair are one and soon there might be no stop to them," Sirius
explained.
Bomberman nodded. "But who will protect Planet Bomber?" Bomberman
questioned.
"We’ll have to hope for the best and you will have to do this mission as fast as
possible. But don’t think of this as a walk down the block, it is more like running two
miles in 8 minutes," Sirius told Bomberman as he flew away.
"Wait," Bomberman yelled chasing after him, but it was no use. Bomberman was
cocky outside but very emotional inside. "What should I do, Bomrad? Who is going to
protect Bomber, I can’t just hope for the best, I must feel confident."
"I think you should go to Planet Alcatrez, and ask Baelfael for the favor of help
protecting our planet," Bomrad suggested. Baelfael was Bomberman’s ally and friend as
they both share the talent of making fire, but Baelfael’s energy doesn’t come from a stone,
it comes naturally. Bomberman nodded and thanked Bomrad for that confidential advice.
Bomberman went over to his Bomber Ship and climbed aboard ready to take off.
"Planet Alcatrez, here I come!" Bomberman declared as Bomrad and Bomberman
took off towards Alcatrez to ask Baelfael for help to protect Bomber while Bomberman
sets off for his first adventure against Altair.
Back on Altair’s ship-
"It may be long until we reach there but it’ll be worth it," Altair said to the three
generals Orion, Artemis, and Regulus. "Planet Bomber has no choice but to surrender to
my army!"
"Don’t you think, you’re underestimating this Bomberman?" Regulus asked.
"Silence! Of course not, we had no problem winning our other battles with little
energy and now withe the power of four planets, and this huge army, do you think we can
go wrong Regulus?" Altair demanded.
"Of course not, it was silly of me to mention Bomberman having such powers, he’s
nothing but a puny bomber," Regulus replied.
Will Bomberman be able to make it to Alcatrez in time and have Baelfael agree to help
him out in Bomber before Altair’s army strikes? Find out next time on Bomberman Ex!
