“No it isn’t Buffy!” Angel smiled as he put his arm around her and kissed her cheek.
At the graveyard stood Xander. It had been an extremly quiet night so he was leaning on a tombstone sighing when he saw Buffy, with Angel. He felt his blood rise, he hated Angel so much and couldn’t see why Buffy didn’t. It looked like they were cheerful anyway and were laughing.
“Anything?” He grimaced.
“New spirit, bad evil, usual stuff. Giles can get his books out.” She said casually.
Xander smiled he couldn’t help laughing at Buffy’s coolness combined with slight humour. Buffy was quieter the usual though. She was looking at the half moon sadly.
“Are you okay?” He asked slowly.
“Yeah. I guess. I think-I want to go home.” She looked vulnerable and scared.
“What’s wrong?” Angel asked, he looke at her concerned
“I don’t know. I have a vibe and I need to see Mum.” Angel said he would walk her home. She was shaking as she entered her street.
A scream and the sound of plates smashing. Buffy ran to her house and gasped as Angel tightened his grip on her shoulder.
