Title: Under A Red Sky-Chapter 6-Part 1
Buffy Summers saw her Mum straight away. She was lying on the floor and very still. The kitchen was wrecked.
“She’s breathing.” Angel said as he ran over to her. Buffy gasped. “Call an ambulance.”
“What do I say?” Buffy asked frantically searching for the phone beneath a mass of broken glass and plates.
“Suspected robbery, you didn’t see them but they saw you and ran, it’s worth a try. She should be okay. She hasn’t been bitten so we can rule out random vampire attack, plus they would have had to have been invited in, it could be some sort of demon.” Buffy nodded and left the room with the phone for a minute. She came back later and simply said.
“it’s a warning. The thing that threatens us is quite as ease with making it’s presence known to me. This is a warning, mess with me Slayer you will pay. You did it when you were evil. I believe Xander called it the nwah nwah nwah nwah approach.” She giggled slightly, A siren whirred near them. The ambulance and police had arrived.
What followed was an hour of chaos. Buffy called Willow, Oz and Giles, who rushed in. Xander said he would carry on slaying.
“Will she be all right?” Willow asked hugging a sobbing Buffy.
“She has a concussion and is still unconsciencess
”Oh. She’ll make it though. So it was a warning?”
”Uh-huh.” Buffy looked unconvincing though. Her lip was bleeding from biting it and she was drained of all energy and colour. She looked like she herself was ill. Angel was trying to reassure her but having no luck.
“It wasn’t-“
“It was, if I wasn’t a Slayer-“
“We wouldn’t have met and many would be dead.” Angel said softly, holding her in his arms protectively. She nodded unsurely and sat down as still and fragile as a china doll. She did not stand up for a very long time. She tossed her hair gently as a doctor approached.
