Title: Camp X
Camp X was a tremendous book! The characters were so real they acted like real brothers. The setting I don’t know how anyone one would think of being tied up in an abandoned farmhouse and then nearly shot also the military camp sounded so real. The plot was exceptional too and the book had so much suspense and action in it.
The characters Jack and George were like real brothers they would even fight. They didn’t live in a spectacular house or have a lot of money they lived in a small house, their mom was trying to make a leaving at the DIL plant, and Jack and George were left alone every day, that’s how they stumbled across the restricted military base, Camp X.
The setting was excellent! From playing a pretend game of war and stumbling across Camp X to how Camp X almost killed them.
The plot was like the setting excellent. But I you must be interested in war, adventure, being scared, and not being able to put the book down. I enjoyed the book so much that it is one of my favourite books now. The plot is based on a real story. Camp X is a spy school that was established Dec 6, 1941.
Now back to when I was talking about suspense and action well if you enjoy suspense and action be sure to read this. The climatic event was the best it was rate at the end of the book. When Jack and George fall of the jeep and then end up in the hospital or when a pistol gets held to their head and they are threatened. Here’s an example of the how the suspense started in the beginning: “DROP YOUR GUNS!” one of the men screamed.
“Our guns…they’re just toys, I stammered. “Just toys!”
“NOW!” screamed the second man. I dropped my toy rifle to the ground, as did Jack. I looked at my brother and his face reflected with terror I was feeling. Who were these men and what did they want with us?
Again I thought this book was tremendous! I wiped through the book so fast I couldn’t put I down for a second. It’s good right until the last page. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes war!
IT IS A MUST READ!!
