“Gloomy over the hole protection thing.” He said with a big grin. for, Sirius? This is Serious.”
“I have the fidilius charm Then you’re still looking
“What are you grinning write here.” He said patting a little roll of brown parchment James had not yet noticed.
“O excellent Sirry. Come in. Lilly’s just put harry to bed.”
“Yes how are the goblin ad sprite?”
“I suppose you are referring to my wife and son. Lily’s worried quite emotional really and Harry’s fine but I think he has a suspicion that something is troubling me and Lilly.”
“It is Lilly and I, James what didn’t they teach you in that muggle primary school?
“O sorry Mr Shakespeare.” He said sarcastically
“Who is Shakespeare?” questioned Sirius bewildered as they walked in to the house.
Lilly was coming down the stairs by that time
“O hi Sirius, I have just put Harry to bed so you have missed him.”
A grin spread across Sirius’s face as he followed James in to the living room.
It was familiar to Sirius, as he was a regular visitor to the Potters house. It was almost as if he lived there but he actually owned a coffee shop, where he lived in the upstairs flat on his own. There was a large glowing fire pace in the wall and besides the harth a deep read rug lay out spreading from almost wall to wall.
“Do you want tea Sirius?” Lilly asked but before He could answer she had disappeared out of the hall and in to the kitchen. James followed her out of the room but she shut the door before he could enter after her.
“Sirius has found the charm that will protect us, Lilly.” He said through the door. Lilly’s head popped round the door
“You have?” she said to Sirius but he was no longer standing besides James. James jumped.
“Were did Sirius go?” he asked in bewilderment “he was just next to me a second ago!”
“O James you really are unobservant!” she said exasperatedly.
“Sirius?” she called, but there was no answer. “Where did he go?” she wondered aloud. A whistling came from the kitchen witch prompted Lilly to go back behind the door and reappear with a tray of three steaming cups of tea. They walked down the hallway and were just about to enter the living room when an exited giggle stopped them on their way. Sirius was coming down the stairs with a wide-awake Harry bouncing in his arms.
“SIRIUS!” they chorused together in annoyed tones. But Sirius only grinned cheekily as Harry chuckled even more as he nuzzled his shoulders in to his godfather’s arms.
