Title: Strike
Strike by Christine Harris is a book set in 1928. I really like the way the story is put in to perspective what it was like to live in a small town and to be poor. But when George Dobsons dad goes on Strike every thing comes crashing down and hes determined not to go down with it. As George and his best friend Frank try to save lives as well as stay friends. I can really relate with Beatrice . Beatrice is also friends with George and Frank and is a very strong person and never gets told what to do. ' Strike ' is an excellent book if you like suspense, the past and an unsuspected ending. If you where to get in trouble for reading a book after bed time this is the book. I recommend that if you are to give this book as a gift you would you should give it to an age group of then to thirteen.
