'All right! Go Beedril!' Minami cheered as she watched on TV the pokemon leauge. Beedril dodged an bubble beam attack from Starmie, and fired some poison stings to it. Starmie's strength was drained from it, and it plopped to the stadium ground. The referee held up a red flag.'Starmie faints! Beedril is victourious! Jessica Sanks wins!'
Minami jumped up and down. She loved to watch pokemon battles. Minami went to a boarding school which trained up people for a journey. The school was pretty modern.The school was located in Viridian City. She lived in a small room with her friend Aya. It was the end of the weekends now, and she hadn't even done her homework.
'Minami, take my advice, finish your homework....you have to make a chart on the pokemon weaknesses!' Aya called.
''S OK, Ill finish it tomorrow morning!'Minami replied. Minami's Vulpix came to her lap. In the school, they were allowed to carry around a single pokemon. Minami owned a Vulpix that she had caught accidently in the yard of someone else's, and Aya owned a Gloom that she had picked up after it had been thrown into a dump.
'Here, I'll let you copy my work, so get working' Aya sighed, handing Minami a complicated graph.
'Gee thanks...' Minami said. She finished copying Aya's work and handed it back to her.'It's still six o'clock at night, why don't we go outside and have a little battle?'
'Why sure,'Aya replied. 'C'mon, Gloom' Aya's Gloom jumped off of the bed and into Aya's arms. Aya pushed their room door open and headed out toward the school grounds. Minami followed, Vulpix's Pokeball in her hand. There were many other kids, most older than the two of them who were battling their pokemon in the school yards.
'Now who wants to challenge my Muk?' Minami heared someone cry. She and Aya spun around,and saw a tall boy with glasses who seemed about 17 or 18 years old. 'Nerd,' whispered Aya as she pointed at him. The nerd was battling a of the same age who had a clefairy. Clefairy fainted as Muk almost squashed it with his body slam.
'He seemes tough!' Minami exclaimed.'I think I'll go fight him!'
'No! Minami wait! He'll beat you in no time!'Aya cried.
But Minami was already running towards the crowd of people.
