Title: The Dark and the Light: A Tale of Two Pokémon
In a forest in Hoenn, there lived an Espeon and an Umbreon. The Espeon was always nice to everyone, but the Umbreon was a moody old grouch.
The Espeon ran into a trainer one day, a trainer named Ash. He had a Pikachu on his head. Espeon really liked Ash.
She went back to the den to tell her brother the news. Espeon had decided that she was to be a trainer's Pokémon.
Umbreon was outraged. This made him even angrier than he was before.
'It was Pokémon trainers that took away Mother and Father,' he would say.
'Yes, I know that,' Espeon would reply. 'But this one seems especially nice.'
'No trainer is nice,' Umbreon said.
'Well, this one is!' Espeon looked like that she had made her point. 'I'm leaving!'
'Fine, go!' Umbreon yelled after her. 'Betray your ancestors! See if I care!'

Espeon really liked Ash. But after a week, life with him wasn't so sweet. Ash made her do the dishes and chores.
'He's done this to all of us,' his Cyndaquil would say.
'Well, I'm sick of him!' Espeon complained. She decided to go home. But then she thought about what Umbreon would say. He probably wouldn't let her in the den.
When she went back to the den where she once lived, she ran into Umbreon.
'Leave,' Umbreon growled. 'You live with your trainer now.'
He added an accent of disgust on the word trainer.
'But I don't want to live with a trainer anymore,' Espeon said. 'I want to live with you!'
'You should have thought about that BEFORE you moved,' Umbreon growled.
Espeon got down on her knees at Umbreon's feet. 'Please, please, PLEASE!' she cried.
Umbreon stared at her for a minute. 'Okay,' he sighed. 'I agree to let you back in if you don't do anything like that again.'
He then smiled. Something he hadn't done in a long time.
'Your ancestors would be proud,' he said to Espeon.
